Sure that the page should be rendered nicely because saying
"archaic method" doesn't imply "it doesn't work", it's just that the
method isn't appropriate in terms of new standards. On the other hand,
it's a known Mozilla bug being unable to render this:
<font face=Symbol>a</font>
I attach here a modified math.html showing the same things but
using HTML4. It displays nicely using Mozilla 0.9.8
