hi, during the boot process, just after the option to press 'I' to enter interactive mode (rc.sysinit - ?, correct me if i'm wrong), a message says 'Configuring Kernel Parameters....'
can someone tell me what is happening in the background, during the time this message (command ?) is waiting to finish? also where can one specify timeout values for the various init scripts? just an e.g - if the eth1 module cannot be loaded, where can i specify a time-out value so the remaining modules can continue being loaded.
