Where does the KDE Control Center get its keyboard model and layout lists
from? Is it from symbols.dir?

I would like to add additional keyboards and have modifed /symbols/inet as
shown below. Now I just need to make that available through kcontrol.

# added to symbols/inet
partial alphanumeric_keys
xkb_symbols "itouch-c-KDE" {

    // Describes the extra keys on a Logitech Cordless iTouch keyboard for
KDE.
        name[Group1]= "iTouch-c-KDE";
    key <I69>   {       [ F31   ]       };
    key <I20>   {       [ F32   ]       };
    key <I2E>   {       [ F24   ]       };
    key <I30>   {       [ F29   ]       };
    key <I22>   {       [ F21   ]       };
    key <I24>   {       [ F28   ]       };
    key <I10>   {       [ F27   ]       };
    key <I19>   {       [ F26   ]       };
    key <I32>   {       [ F22   ]       };
    key <I6C>   {       [ F30   ]       };
    key <I65>   {       [ F23   ]       };
    key <I66>   {       [ F25   ]       };

};
