I've been doing some "lookin' into" and found I could copy the db from /var/lib/mysql over to my other machine BUT, I seem to remember something about permissions and not being able to even enter the file for copy. Getting ready to try it again from 8.1 to 8.2 so I'll post the results and the steps <if I remember them> of how I got it accomplished. --
