Hi I have the same problem. I have also complained about that when installing 8.0 on my PC. ctrl+alt+any other console is part of my daily routine!
Things can get worse when using two mice. I am running win4lin on display 2 with a ps2 mouse and KDE on display 1 with a serial mouse. Winlin2-ps2 mouse kills serial mouse on KDE. The only way to get the serial mouse working is to shutdown win4lin.
