I see in a message from Ken Thompson <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> "The recognition does not seem to work with all chipsets. 3 out of the 7 machines did but 3 did not recognize ANY kind of wheel mouse." So I'm wondering what is different between installation of 8.0 and 8.2. What chip set do you have on your motherboard. After you set up using the serial mouse can you check to ensure that you have installed the imwheel rpm and then go and select the wheel mouse and reboot.
