I'm not sure about your menu problem, but I thought you might be interested 
in this article about msec.

I'm not sure what your reason is for wanting to switch from msec3 to msec4 
but the above article describes how to custom configure msec to allow or 
disallow any of the options to suit your needs. ( see the section 
"Customizing msec With Overrides" ) . For a complete list of settings that 
can be configured enter "man mseclib" in a terminal, or "man:/mseclib" in 
your browser.
