Are you going to install Mandrake? If so you will see the option to use the filesystem ext3. It is supported in LMDK 8.2. If you already have a running mandrake system, just do a cat on "/proc/filesystems", and see if you have it compiled into the kernel. If you do, you are in luck. Now all you have to do is RTFM...
