Pupeno: According to both Multitech and the database at www.idir.net/~gromitkc/winmodem.html, this is a real modem and will work under Linux. In fact, it's certified for Red Hat, so it should work with Mandrake. One thing that I noticed at Multitech's site, though, was that all of the software -- including firmware updates -- was for Windows. If you are dual booting Mandrake and MS, this is probably not a big deal. I believe that v92 compatibility is handled between the modem and your ISP, but I could be wrong about this. FWIW, I recently installed a Zoom external V92 modem, and it seems to work just fine. As for using the voice and fax features under Linux, I've never tried them, so I'll have to let someone else jump in here. -- cmg
