Take a look at software.linux.com. On the Software Menu on the left hand side click on Conferencing then pick the "I'-Video" category, several software are listed there. GnomeMeeting has a very informative web site, so is VIC; Collaborative Virtual Workspace looks more like a server application.
Depending on what your perceived usage is, if this linux box is a server type of a system and will be locked in a computer room then you probably wouldn't look for an end-point video conference application for it. In that case, an MCU (multipoint conference unit) type application such as Collaborative Virtual Workspace would be what you want. If it is going to be someone's desktop then you can look at GnomeMeeting or VIC. These software are all using H.323 communications protocol which means you won't be able to conference with people having ISDN lines unless you go through some kind of a gateway. Check out those software and find out what hardware they work with then go from there. Forget about VideoConference Vendors such as PictureTel, PolyCom ( which are same company now ) and the like. None of those guys build anything for Linux.
