There's 3 sources, well 2 now since cooker has recently moved to
gcc3.1. The Mandrake rpms, and Texstar's mdk rpms (stripped and
optimized). Running kde3 since the early betas, I found Texstar's to
be the best.
ftp://ftp.ibiblio.org/pub/Linux/distributions/contrib/texstar/Mandrake-8.2-i586/kde-3.0.0-CVS/
BUT, I've found that even the latest CVS is more problems than
it's worth. Nothin major, mostly minor irritations. Mostly kde2 apps
not getting along with kde3 all that well. After a recent HDD
failure, I didn't bother installin my kde3 rpms. I'm stickin with
2.2.2 till kde3 gets it's act together, or cooker releases an 8.3.iso
with kde3 and all apps compiled for kde3 with gcc 3.1. They're in
the process of doin so right now.
