The error is a kernel error. cdrecord / xcdroast have been updated but
errors are coming from the kernel. Here they are again. I installed
the latest drivers for my scsi card (dc395x_trm) along with the cooker
kernel. It burnt one cd and I thought it was fixed but it does it again
now. I am now forced to use my spare partition for windows xp because
it works there. So next time you think to argue that Linux is just as
good as windows (or better), dont...it aint.

Heres' the error I get whenever I try to burn a cd.

The moral of my entire upgrade story is if your hardware isn't at least
a year or 2 old, don't bother installing linux. I cannot believe that
my hardware was rock solid on a 6 year old K6-2 platform and absolute
garbage on a new ddr platform.
