I am not sure if this is a newbie or an expert question, so apologies if I am wrong (anyway I am not subscribed to the newbie list)
My system (8.2) brings up KDE on boot up. I'd rather it would stop at the console and not start up KDE or Gnome or anything. After I do my console thing, I'd bring up whatever WM I wanted by hand. I am anxious to try out some new less resource intensive WM's. Thanks.
