hi james,

have now done a look for about 10 minutes on the output of top.
have running netmonitor.rea and it is one of the interested program here !
it grows up in time of 10 minutes from starting at 12252 to 13432 in a time
of 20 minutes. And the percentage use of memory grows up from 9.6 % to 10.5 %
so it seems, that this program has any lack of memory.

after starting, the connection is coming up, and I cut the connection after
one minute, so I had the same values for each test.

Hold on the connection doesn't change any behavior : the size grows up at the
same time.

Exactly this behavior slows down the system afte a few hours. The memory size
changes from startuptime of about 19800 KB to 0 after 5 or 6 hours or so.

Without this program the system does NOT have any problem with memorylacks.

hope, this is a useful startpoint to get rid of this weird problem. Hope -
anybody can help.

the version of control-center is :
control-center-1.4.0.1-2mdk
net_monitor seems to be a part of control-center, because n rpm -q
net_monitor fails.

maybe, there is an updated control-center without this bug ?

thanks for helping and give some hints
bye hans
