Not sure what has happened, but I seemed to have a new
problem after upgrading the the newest kernel put out
by Mandrake to fix security holes.

--- as a regular user
$ sudo su - newuser
Segmentation fault

$ su - newuser
... works ok after password entered

$ su -
... works ok after root password entered

--- as root user
# su - newuser
Segmentation fault

the sudo file contains ...
User_Alias     FULLTIMERS = user,newuser
...
FULLTIMERS  ALL = NOPASSWD: ALL
root        ALL = (ALL) ALL

and msec settings are
# cat /etc/security/msec/security.conf
#

# cat /etc/security/msec/level.local
...
allow_root_login(1)
enable_libsafe(1)
enable_pam_wheel_for_su(1)
enable_password(1)
enable_sulogin(1)
...
#

Any ideas ?

Thanks... Dan.
