Whole 8.2 installation failed into pcmcia state.I had to take adaptor away and install 8.2 first,then afterwards add it.But still had troubles. What I did,was ,I took separate pcmcia-cs-3.1.33.tar.gz package and compiled that + separate orinoco-cs package and added that into system... Ofcourse had to recompile kernel without pcmcia...Info can be found from pcmcia-cs package likewise about orinoco-cs info.
