Hmmm, very strange, very strange indeed! I am running the very same
apache version with some differences in other components. Here is my
stdout on "rpm -qa | grep apache":

*apache-suexec-1.3.22-1.4mdk
*apache-mod_perl-1.3.22_1.26-2.1mdk
apache-modules-1.3.22-10.1mdk
apache-manual-1.3.22-10.1mdk
apache-1.3.22-10.1mdk
apache-common-1.3.22-10.1mdk
*apache-devel-1.3.22-10.1mdk
*apache-source-1.3.22-10.1mdk
apache-conf-1.3.22-1.4mdk

* indicates the difference.

Now my upgrade to mod_ssl-2.8.5-3.1mdk worked real nicely. Do not give
up, this is a security risk. It will work, if you make it work.....
