It may be that our only shot here will be LM90. I'm getting a board soon that has the latest Highpoint hardware. LM90 will be out before that happens; but I certainly want it to work, cause I've really enjoyed and gotten accustomed to having the machine here configured as we discussed. And I love the performance of the Highpoint hardware. I still find it strange that the LM82 installer is choking on the Highpoint 372's. Did'nt think that this model I have here (370) and the 372 were that far apart. Guess I was wrong. If you've tried everything, and are at your wit's end, then I suggest changing over to the beta release of 9.0. Or you might be inclined to wait until the bona fide version is released, then download and try that.
