hi thierry
the box is behind a mandrake firewall, the mnf that is found in cooker, there
is no firewall per se on the web server, but going by something that james
has said i suspect that either installing apache using a mandrake specific
package, or having httpd start at boot, causes msec to automatically set this
/proc... thing, makes sense, i've no idea what a 'smurf' attack is, but if it
involves pinging and i don't need to ping, then turn it off :-)
