Well, now that 9.0 is finished and cooker is quiet, maybe some are itching to get involved in testing and whatnot in other ways.
The MandrakeSoft secteam is looking for a few new volunteers to help test security updates for all supported distributions. There are a few specific requirements for the secteam, and this is not at all like cooker testing. The following are some of the specifics that need to be met before one would be considered: - the ability to test multiple distributions (currently we support 7.1, 7.2, 8.0, 8.1, 8.2, 9.0, Corporate Server 1.0.1, Single Network Firewall 7.2, 8.0/PPC, 8.2/PPC, and 8.1/IA64). Obviously, you don't have to be able to test every single supported distribution (but a fair majority) - a non-disclosure agreement must be signed - time to test; I would roughly estimate an average of 5-6hrs per week should be free for testing - an interest in security, knowledgeable Linux-specific skills, knowledgeable with a wide variety of applications If anyone is interested, please email me directly. I'm looking for 3-4 new people to join our team.
