  I'd try a DOS floppy and do "fdisk /mbr" from there, while having
  that HD as the *only* HD in the box (I have no clue how to tell it
  to do it only to a certain disk). That should fix it. BTW, that's an
  undocumented DOS fdisk switch, MS says it doesn't exist, so you may
  destroy your computer with it and can't blame me :)
