You can actually do this, although it's not very intuitive. I would expect
to be able to go to the font directory and select all of the fonts listed.
However, that's not how it works.

This is from memory, so bear with me if a couple of steps aren't quite
right...
In order to select a directory, go to the directory one *higher* than the
font directory and then select the directory containing the fonts. Make sure
the directory name is in the filename box, not the instructions that are
there by default. Click OK and you'll see the directory listed in the list
box in MCC. You'll then have to cancel the file dialog to get rid of it. You
can then press "install selected" and get all of your fonts at once...

IMNSHO, this is a rather convoluted way of installing fonts compared to most
other OS's or applications, but at least it's possible to add fonts to the
system, unlike RedHat which doesn't provide a GUI to do so that I can see.

Subject: [expert] mcc and add fonts with MCC

Yesterday a friend of mine installed Mdk 9.0. He tried to add fonts with the

Mandrake Control Center. He hadn't a windows installed on this system but a
windowsshare mounted with a lot of fonts. Since the fonts wasn't found
automatically he tried to add them manually. This wasn't that easy since the

dialog for that didn't accept more than one font at a time so he clicked
hundred of times trough his fonts. Wouldn't it be better to be able to
select
a whole directory or a bunch of files at one time ?

Thanks a lot of reading this
