I'm connecting to a USB 1.x port, so it's slow, but it does work. I went ahead and got the 80 Gig one. I got a USB 2.0 hub and I'll be connecting it to a USB 2.0 machine soon and testing. I am pretty sure which would be better, but answer the following for me. Which would be faster (assuming a 100 megabit network): 1) Connect the drive to a USB 1.x port and copy locally. 2) Connect the drive to a machine with a USB 2.0 port and copy across an NFS mount. I'm pretty sure #2 will be faster, but we'll see :) > A train stops at a train station. A bus stops at a bus station. This explains > the problem with my workstation.
