Hi Dianne,

I have checked checked bash --verbose and TMOUT=0
The timeout only happens on the dumb terminal plugged in via a serial
port and not on the console.
Have tried adding a long timeout on the agetty command line in inattab
with no luck.
What else can I try?

Thanks
Gary.
