When you resort to personal abuse then you have already lost the argument. It
appears that your respect for others is matched only by your lack of
knowledge of european history - which has nothing of course to do with linux.
Unless that is you want to start talking about the (British) development of
the first electronic computers during the seond World War (Colossus) and
somehow draw a line to that well known personality (Finnish) Linus Torvalds?
However much you may want it to be true the DMCA applies to the US and
outside of the US the ordinary citizen has no ability to vary, or influence
the US legislature.
Outside of the US we have even less than no interest in spats between
commited Republican/Democrat supporters, particularly, as when here seems to
be the case both are claiming that their own 'side' is fighting against
legislature like DMCA.
Take the damn argument to an advocacy group.
