what are you typing into the URL box? Realnames did the dot-com death dance not too long ago. Konqueror is actually doing exactly what you ask it to do (note the fallbackuri being google.com in the URL example you attached) but since realnames isn't there to do the fallback anymore, you never actually get to google.
I believe the Konq team has fixed this in the latest version of Konq. Until you get that, you can always type "gg: <search term>" in the URL bar to go to goodle directly. I have come to love this feature of Konq. I don't at the moment know if there is a way to replace konq's dependance on realnames with something else when you just type words into the URL bar. Does anyone out there know how to do this or if it is possible? It used to be that one could enter a search term or three in the Location box and an autosearch would take place. Anymore if I try this, I either get an error about an improperly formed URL (konqueror misinterpreting the words as a URL) or more often I get: An error occured while loading http://navigation.realnames.com/resolver.dll?action=navigation&realname=crys talspace&charset=iso-8859-1&providerid=180&fallbackuri=http%3A//www.google.c om/search%3Fq%3Dcrystalspace: Timeout on server Timed out while waiting to connect to navigation.realnames.com What is the deal? I have it set to use Google yet this error always occurs if I don't get the misformed URL message. praedor
