Todd, As I've been following this problem and in one and only one case do I have this problem I've noticed that it seems to be hardware specific. I've got 4 boxes running 9.0 without problems of this sort. 2 with samsung CD's one with a mitsumi slimline and One with an Asus CDRW. But, on my laptop with the compaq cdrom... it happens. What I'm wondering is if it is hardware related specifically to older or specific brands of cd drives? Maybe I'm barking up the wrong tree... James
