Boy, it could be a lot of things. Is is stable now? What I would try, is to remove everything but what is needed and try it. Get rid of the scanner, scis controller if you can although I've NEVER had any trouble with the 2940 series. But it would cut out a bunch of things all at once. Then IF it works, start adding until it works. If it STILL doesn't work, I'd go over cmos settings and maybe set it to default or safe modes and see what happens. Another likely culprit could be buggy firmware. Go see if there is a firmware update for the Mobo. Good luck.
