I am using mdk9 and a MSI (ms-6378) motherboard with a tv tunercard, dvd, etc. to create my own set-top box. (Custom case and everything - very cool :) )
My problem is that when I try to put the machine into standby using 'apm -s' the screen blanks but the disk and the fans are still running. I have tried this on many motherboards with the same result. Is there something I am missing, or is apm borked? Or should I be using acpi? Please advise.
