Hi Albert, I had a similar problem - the installation for MDK9 completely hangs in the beginning when the AHA2940 is even just inserted - with no disk/CDROM attached. At first I had a SCSI-CDROM, later changed to an IDE CDROM. I also moved the controller to other PCI slots. Not until I completely removed the 2940 the installation went on and completed. I was recomended to use some other boot img from the CD, but that one failed too.
