Perhaps you are confusing the term driver? I am speaking of the source from Nvidia. I was unable to compile the newest Nvidia driver for Mandrake and then have it work. It failed. I then went and got the next older Nvidia driver, compiled it and it runs just fine. My thoughts are that there is a bug in the newest driver. I forget which revision it was now though. The one that comes with Mandrake 9.0 does NOT work.
