I had already removed the fstab entry, and did a shutdown, reboot- problems still remain- no rpmdrake functionality, and the weird no access to text files- even new ones, except by right clicking and open with.
Here's the mount output- no usb camera connected. -------------------------------------------------------------- [wrc1944@localhost wrc1944]$ mount /dev/hda12 on / type reiserfs (rw,notail) none on /proc type proc (rw) none on /proc/bus/usb type usbdevfs (rw) none on /dev type devfs (rw) /dev/hda11 on /boot type reiserfs (rw,notail) none on /dev/pts type devpts (rw,mode=0620) /dev/hda10 on /home type ext3 (rw) none on /mnt/cdrom type supermount (ro,dev=/dev/scd0,fs=auto,--,iocharset=iso8859-1,codepage=850,umask=0) none on /mnt/floppy type supermount (rw,sync,dev=/dev/fd0,fs=auto,--,iocharset=iso8859-1,codepage=850,umask=0) /dev/hda1 on /mnt/win_c type vfat (rw,iocharset=iso8859-1,codepage=850,umask=0) /dev/hda5 on /mnt/win_d type vfat (rw,iocharset=iso8859-1,codepage=850,umask=0) /dev/hda6 on /mnt/win_e type vfat (rw,iocharset=iso8859-1,codepage=850,umask=0) /dev/hda7 on /mnt/win_f type vfat (rw,iocharset=iso8859-1,codepage=850,umask=0) /dev/hda8 on /mnt/win_g type vfat (rw,iocharset=iso8859-1,codepage=850,umask=0) /dev/hda9 on /mnt/win_h type vfat (rw,iocharset=iso8859-1,codepage=850,umask=0) /dev/hda16 on /tmp type reiserfs (rw,notail) /dev/hda14 on /usr type reiserfs (rw,notail) /dev/hda15 on /var type reiserfs (rw,notail) On Wednesday 11 December 2002 06:13 pm, Praedor Atrebates wrote: > Todd Lyons, in a previous post, indicates that /proc/bus/usb should already > exist if your modules.conf file is properly setup.
