DOS can only see 2G partitions (so it's strange that it sees your 4G one).  Anyway, it 
could be that you've messed up your boot record.  If so, try booting from a diskette 
with fdisk on it and at the command prompt type fdisk /MBR  (you might have to pass it 
a drive letter, I don't remember and don't use Windows anymore).  That should restore 
your boot record.  If it works, great!  If not, let me know and I'll see what else I 
can come up with.
