Hi, two weeks ago I bought a Trendnet TEW-210 wireless network adapter that's supposed to need only the prism 2.5 module. Now, I could try using the pcmcia-cs and wlan-ng sources in the cdrom included and compile everything but looking around in my kernel modules I found the directory /lib/modules/2.4.19-16mdk/kernel/3rdparty/prism25/ with cs, pci, p80211 and usb subdirectories. If I insert the card and check with cardinfo, I get an "unsupported card". Is there a way to make pcmcia-cs/the kernel recognize the card or do I really have to compile the whole packages? Since the modules are already there, shouldn't it be a simple task? Modprobe prism2_cs wouldn't give me any error message, lsmod would show prism2_cs as "unused", even with the card inserted... I really don't want plain source compiling because I want to be able to uninstall it cleanly (RPM)... Comments very welcome! TIA, Marcio Cordero
