While easy to launch "root" apps from the CLI, I would like to have some of them launched directly from the KDE menu ... something similar to how drakconf or mcc are launched (i.e. detecting the fact that another user is launching them, and prompting for the root password). I don't quite understand why the menu would even contain such apps, if not capable of asking for root password, if needed (knetfilter and crossover come immediately to mind). I have tried to change their entries in the menu to "su -c <app>", but this didn't work. I was looking inside the drakconf script, but I couldn't figure it out ... yet :) (i.e. I am hoping in a leading hand here - TIA).
