Depends where you put the accents. AFAIK ipcop is a fork of smoothwall. This all due the fact that the spokesperson for Smoothwall (IMHO)uses a diplomacy one would expect of a baseball-bat wielding football-hooligan. Personally my preference lies with the S'wall team, their product is fine, GPL and well supported. Their political stance is harsh but alas very true and should be taken to heart by the community.
