Forgive if my poor old memory is still full of holes. As i installed 8.2 there was an option list to choose which MBR to install lilo. If this still exists then perhaps choosing any drive other than hda would force it out of the way. It may work. Of course a new stanza would still need to be put in the 9.0 lilo entry. Dunno, things may have change so this is not possible, but my 17 year old got his lilo to write to hdb MBR and his box booted to windows like normal as if linux had never installed. -- Michael
