Latest initscripts resolved this issue. (tried after a hint on cooker list) It seems to only affect NICs that use the tulip module. I downloaded initscripts 7.02-2mdk.i586.rpm before a complete reinstall of 9.1beta2, installed the rpm and rebooted. There ya go, an internet connection complete with the ability to talk to the ISP's domain name servers. :-) > > Let's see about updating this thing from MCC or urpmi at the command line. > Add sources, got the _full_ hdlists for cooker and contribs. urpmi > --auto-select.....568 MB is this OK? It seems the first install didn't like the taste of my secondary IDE channel and tried to call it a SCSI bus. It worked this time. >Questions: how do I sync a directory to cooker and use that instead of > software manager from a mirror? Still doesn't want to add ftp sources but I'll try to figure that out and do a bug report. Regards; Charlie
