Of course a religious war. Whatdya expect form an old alterboy! *grin*. The reasons you don't like VNC is why IMHO MDK had the wisdom to switch to tightVNC. It doesn't do the poll-my-mouse crud (The concept is the mouse is on the local box why draw it twice. So they use a 1x1px spot on the screen at the tip of your local mouse. I've used it over a 56k connection with iceWM as the wm and it was a bit clunky but faster than pcNowhere on Broadband and screen updates paints and lauches where much faster. James >
