As a result of reading an earlier mail from Greg I got curious about the config for dhclient .... According to the man pages there should be a file called dhclient.conf and it should be in /etc/ Problem is ... I can't find such a file on my box. This is all the more confusing because dhclient is working as it should (no dhcpd on this one.) I get my leases etc without a hitch. I don't know if this is a bug or not. Given that it works I can't call it a bug, but I am curious.
if I do a locate I get back /usr/share/doc/dhcp-client-3.0/dhclient.conf /usr/share/man/man5/dhclient.conf.5.bz2 the one in /usr/share/doc appears to be a sample file. Ok but what I'm curious about is that either the man page is wrong or.... something got missed. Of course the third option is "If it ain't broke don't fix it" James
