Okay, with the 9.0 Powerpack, I setup 2 comps on my 3 comp lan to use my one and only Epson C62 printer on my main comp. Using CUPS on the 2 comps worked just fine. I could print with no problems.
I've not a clue as to what I've done but now, I get this message when I attempt to print from the remote comps:
An error occured while retrieving the printer list: client-error-not-found
I had changed nothing, AFAIK. The printer still works fine from my main computer.
I (and others) had CUPS problems just going from 8.2 to 9.0 and with printing-related MandrakeUpdates in 9.0 (ghostscript?) that caused authentication errors where it had worked before. A further ghostscript update solved this for some. One thing that might help is to be sure to have the latest Updates. That error can be returned for different causes so you might look at google/linuxprinting.org. There are some edits to /etc/cups/cupsd.conf that helped at one time for my problems here: http://localhost:631/sam.html#ALLOW_REMOTE
