Hi, Anyone know how I can switch my motherboard to work in 4x mode (so to fall back to AGP 2.0)?
My bios (latest one) seems to lock itself to AGP 3.0 as soon as I put my AGP 3.0 compliant graphics card in it (Radeon 9700 Pro). :( That makes it that I cannot use the official drivers as AGP 3.0 support is required and current kernel doesn't. :( I searched the entire net for how to do this (or which bios should I flash to solve the problem) but no luck. I just found somewhere that some older bioses allow to, and the newer one requires some funky secret key combination to allow you to fallback to AGP 2.0, but couldn't actually find the right combination. Please help. I am pretty desperate. I cannot play anything on it as long as I have the vesa drivers (only ones which would work) from X. :( Best regards, Adrian
