I disabled a lot of hardware I don't have which was giving compile errors,
but trying to do a
make bzImage
or
make bzlilo
give an error after finishing compiling the kerenl at the point where it
should create the compressed immage.
It chokes inside the "scripts/Makefile.build" by complaining it found no
rule to "make vmlinux" which is "needed by vmlinuz.bin"(?!?). I don't know
what the heck he is talking about :) In 2.4.x kernels I didn't even find a
scripts/Makefile.build so I don't know what that is or how to fix it. All I
know is that the main directory Makefile has a "vmlinux" section in it and a
"make vmlinux" works flawless. In scripts/Makefile.build there is no
"vmlinux" section and I checked and found out there is also no such section
in same file in versions 2.5.63 or 2.5.62. :/

Can anyone help me?

Best regards,
Adrian
