add your desired user into wheel and adm group. before this, check: $ ls -ld /proc dr-xr-x--- 149 root adm 0 dec 30 17:44 /proc/ $ ls -ld /proc/some_process dr-xr-x--- 3 ftp wheel 0 mar 6 21:31 /proc/8944/ easy ;)
