-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- Hash: SHA1 Mandrake 9.0. I was just trying to run a search for lesstif (rpm -qa|grep lesstif) and found myself waiting forever for an answer. I then just downloaded the lesstif rpm and tried to install it. Nothing. It does the "preparing" thing but just stalls and never gets anywhere. I then tried running "rpm --rebuilddb" and via gkrellm I see CPU activity spike up to 100% for about 10 seconds or so but then it drops back to background and nothing comes of it (from the CLI). I do not get dumped back to the commandline and I have to do a Ctrl-C to get the command prompt back.
What do I do to get rpm working again? What file do I delete (database, config, whatever) so I can reset the whole mess with an "rpm --rebuild"? This is on my Thinkpad laptop. praedor -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.0.7 (GNU/Linux) iD8DBQE+Z7KwaKr9sJYeTxgRAokEAKCeGNeNq0j3Du4+Mjcw2iT0kZUAAQCgjgx3 TB84SZyYoFMhBbAueSOxvWo= =0wgA -----END PGP SIGNATURE-----
