I don't even remember what video card you use, weither it was "onboard" and if the BIOS settings for the agp type, speed and "opening" are set correctly. I am sure the vga=768 is a setting for the video mode. (and I think it is a "fairly low" resolution) but if it is a setting in LILO that you are screwing with, then just forget about a vidoe mode durring bootup would be my suggestion.
