I can't keep up with beta and rc versions unfortunately so I haven't been
able to check this on my own; anyway there is an as yet unresolved and
(to me) very bothersome bug in mandrake 9.0 - I am wondering if it is
still present in 9.1.

To the point: in 9.0 mouse support with gpm for midnight commander only
works properly under X; in tty1 to 6 it works properly as root, whereas
as normal user it doesn't work, and fills the screen with debug lines like this:

/.../gpm../src/liblow.c
< cut >
liblow.c

info: [liblow.c(446)]:

Warning: closing connection

I have tried recompiling both gpm and midnight commander fom source and
using different versions of gpm but haven't managed to fix this; others
have reported the same problem too, but the bug report has led nowhere.

So, does this still happen in 9.1 or has it been fixed ??
I am hoping that if it hasn't been fixed already someone might figure out
what the problem is before final release.
