The others alread answered that this is incorrect. However, I can give
you another way to check/verify, but this is from the commandline:
tcpdump -n -s 1024 -X
You could also limit it per port:
tcpdump -n -s 1024 -X port 22
Note that you will see all of your traffic if you're ssh'd to the box.
