Stef: My experience is that it usually takes five or six weeks from the time that a new version is released until it shows up on my doorstep. It takes a while to get the boxes made, the manuals printed, burn the CD's, stick it all together and throw it out the door. The sets can show up in brick and mortar stores a week or two earlier, but that seems to depend on where you live and which store you deal with. (IIRC, 7.1 was first displayed at WalMart; no one else had it for another week or two.) Yes, Mandrake does make a lot more money on the direct sales than they do through retail store sales, plus they get it sooner. (In case you hadn't noticed, they've already billed your credit card.) Given Mandrake's current financial situation, sooner is better. In the meantime, you and I can let all of these other kind folks solve all of our problems for us. -- cmg
