Ok I think this will do it for you. cd /etc/pcmcia cp config config.bkp (this covers you in case of an oooops) open config in the text editor of your choice. find the section that says this card "Xircom CBEM56G-100 CardBus 10/100 Ethernet + 56K Modem" version "Xircom", "*", "CBEM56G" bind "tulip_cb" to 0, "serial_cb" to 1 and comment it out with a # in front of each line. then add these lines card "Xircom CBEM56G-100 CardBus 10/100 Ethernet + 56K Modem" version "Xircom", "*", "CBEM56G" bind "xircom_cb" to 0 save the file and then from the command line as root /etc/init.d/pcmcia restart Then insert your card and hopefully, it will be up and running right for you. (Same card on a notebook here in the office and these are the lines that work for it.) I'm also assuming here that this is the card you have model wise since it's the only one in pcmcia listed as ethernet + 56k and it's the one we have here. James
